How To Cancel Your Policy

You can cancel this policy within 14 days of the start date, or if later, within 14 days of the date you receive this document and your schedule. We will refund any premiums you have paid, as long as you have not made a claim and do not intend to make a claim.

You can also cancel your policy at any other time and provided no claim has been made during the current period of insurance, you will be entitled to a refund of a proportion of the premium you have paid, subject to a deduction of one twelfth for each month of cover you have received; or part thereof; plus a £15.00 administration fee.

We require notification of cancellation in writing.

Include in the email:

  • Name.
  • Policy number.
  • Reason for cancellation.
  • A declaration that no claims have been made or are pending on the policy.

We require these in the email before we cancel your policy otherwise we cannot proceed with the cancellation.

Phone cancellations can only be made by the insured person or if the insured person is present when cancellation notice is given, for confirmation purposes.
Please note that cancellations can only be effective from the date that we receive a notification, therefore it cannot be retrospective. We can also not cancel any policy in advance. We require your policy number, reason for cancellation, and declaration that no claims have been made or are pending on the policy, before proceeding with cancellation and refund if eligible.

You can cancel your policy within 30 days of the policy start date or, if later, 30 days of the date you receive this Policy Document.

We will refund any premiums you have paid as long as you have not made a claim and do not intend to make a claim.

You can also cancel your policy at any other time and providing that no claim has been made, you will be entitled to a portion of your premium back for the unexpired period of insurance. This will be based on the number of days remaining until the expiry date less an administration fee of £7.50.

If you decide that for any reason this policy does not meet your insurance needs then you can return it to the insurance intermediary that sold you this policy within 14 days from the date of purchase or the date on which you receive your policy documentation, whichever is the later. Provided that no claims have been made or are pending, we will refund your premium in full.

You may cancel this policy at any time after the 14 days cooling-off period by informing the insurance intermediary who sold you this policy. You will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of premium, less a £10 administration charge, for the unexpired portion of the period of insurance, provided that no claims have been made or are pending. In the event that a claim has been made or pending, no refund of premium is due back to you.

How To Cancel Your Policy

You can cancel this policy within 14 days of the start date, or if later, within 14 days of the date you receive the policy documents and your schedule. We will refund any premiums you have paid, as long as you have not made a claim and do not intend to make a claim. You can also cancel your policy at any other time. Please note:

  1. If you pay your premium in one lump sum at the beginning of each period of insurance then, provided no claim has been made during the current period of insurance, you will be entitled to a refund of a proportion of the premium you have paid, subject to a deduction of one twelfth for each month of cover you have received; or part thereof; plus a £15.00 administration fee.
  2. If you pay your premium in monthly installments, there will be no premium refund. This is because you will only have paid for the cover you have already received. If you have made a valid claim during the current period of insurance, you must pay the remaining premium due up to your next renewal date.

If, after reading this policy you are not satisfied with it for any reason, you must return the certificate to Cover4travel.com within 14 days of issue in order to receive a full refund of premium, provided you have not already travelled or incurred a claim.
