The Risks
Potentiallly, anyone who falls, trips or slips at your event could become a claimant. If serious damage is caused to the venue, who pays you are liable? Equipment and property coming on site carries the risk of being damaged.
In these litigious times people are more aware of their legal rights, and are more willing and more able to resort to persue the law to obtain compensation for injury, loss or damage caused by another party. It can be expensive to lose a legal action. reforms to the legal system and a claimant-friendly legal environment mean that awards for personal injury continue to rise.
Everyone in business requires liability insurance; the events sector is no exception. Whether your event is a luncheon meeting or a full international convention or music festival, there are risks.
Liability Insurance Sections

What is at Stake?
You could lose or have pay out some or all of the following:
Poor Event Insurance does not cover all of this. Our Event Insurance can.
Event Property Insurance - All Risks
Equipment is At Risk
Equipment at events ranges from high-end computers and audio visual systems down to basic tables, chairs & napery, all of which are someone's responsibility. It is important to buy cover on the correct basis; for most equipment this should be on a reinstatement basis because if it gets lost or destroyed, you will have to bear the cost of replacement. To avoid under insurance make sure that the sums insured are calculated on this basis too. remember to check the hire contract, If the equipment is damaged, you may be responsible for loss of hire charges whilst it is repaired.
Please note that in common with other event insurance policies, Event Insurance Online property cover in standard form is not suitable for fine art, antiques, collectibles and the like where "replacement as new" is clearly inappropriate - a different basis of valuation is required. If you need to cover this type of property, please talk to us first.
Key Features include:
If you are based in the following countries our event insurance can be taken out, if your country is not listed below please call 0800 840 2469 to arrange cover.

If you’re either arranging a local Christmas Fair/Market or planning on taking a stall at one you will need Public Liability Insurance. This will protect you against claims for trips/slips and the like for which you could be held responsible.
Also, if you are taking a stall, you should also consider Products Liability cover to protect against claims made due to your wares being faulty in any way. In fact, if you are a small trader, producing your own craft ware/small batch foodstuffs and attending several events a year then it may be more economical to take out an annual policy.
Here at Cover4Insurance we have extensive experience of placing this type of insurance and have access to a number of specialist markets. For a one off event just click here to obtain a quotation in minutes. If you would prefer to discuss an annual policy, please complete the call back form here and we’ll get straight back to you.
